Every donation helps us continue creating engaging productions, providing opportunities for local performers and volunteers, and making live theatre accessible to audiences of all ages. Your support allows us to invest in sets, costumes, lighting, educational programs, and the many behind-the-scenes elements that bring each production to life.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all donations to RiverStage Community Theatre are tax-deductible. Contributions of any size make a meaningful difference and help ensure that community theatre continues to thrive in our region.

We are grateful for the continued support of our community and thank you for helping us keep the arts alive and flourishing in the Susquehanna Valley.
In-Kind Donations
Bringing a theatrical production to life takes much more than talented performers. From building sets and creating costumes to operating lights and sound, every RiverStage production relies on a wide range of materials, tools, and equipment. As a nonprofit community theatre, we greatly appreciate the generosity of individuals and businesses who help support our work through in-kind donations.
Many of the items used in our productions find new life on stage after being donated by members of the community. Whether you’re cleaning out a garage, attic, basement, workshop, or storage area, you may have items that can help us create memorable experiences for audiences throughout the Susquehanna Valley.
Items we frequently seek include construction materials, tools, technical equipment, furniture, vintage clothing and accessories, and gift cards that help us purchase production supplies. Some commonly requested items include:
- Full-size mattresses, box springs, and air mattresses
- Paint rollers and extension poles
- 2″ x 4″ lumber
- 4′ x 8′ plywood sheets
- Battery-operated drills
- Hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and staple guns
- Used PC laptops for sound and production control
- Sound and lighting equipment
- Vintage clothing and accessories
- Gift cards to Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Staples, and similar retailers
Because each production has unique requirements, our needs may change throughout the year. If you have an item you believe may be useful, we encourage you to reach out even if it is not listed above.
To discuss an in-kind donation, please contact us through our Contact Us page. Your support helps us continue creating quality community theatre and providing opportunities for local artists, volunteers, and audiences alike.
Donate Your Time
RiverStage Community Theatre is built on the passion, dedication, and generosity of volunteers. Every production that takes the stage is made possible by community members who share their time and talents to help create memorable theatrical experiences for audiences throughout the Susquehanna Valley.
Whether your interests lie on stage, backstage, or somewhere in between, there is a place for you at RiverStage. Volunteers play an important role in every aspect of our organization, from designing and building sets to managing productions, operating lighting and sound equipment, assisting with marketing and fundraising efforts, welcoming patrons, and supporting performances behind the scenes.
No previous theatre experience is required. Many of our volunteers join RiverStage simply because they enjoy the arts, want to learn new skills, meet new people, or become more involved in the community. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels and are always happy to help new volunteers find a role that matches their interests and talents.
Opportunities are available in a variety of areas, including stage management, scenic design, set construction and painting, lighting and sound operation, backstage crew, ticket sales, ushering, marketing, fundraising, and community outreach.
Volunteering with RiverStage is more than helping put on a show—it’s becoming part of a creative, collaborative, and supportive community that shares a love of live theatre. If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Contact us today to learn more about volunteer opportunities and discover how you can become part of the RiverStage family.
